The Bleacher Athletic team is the sports division of the Cotton On Group. We work across the NRL, AFL and AFLW in on-field and supporter wear.

We also run the Upstate Sport brand, focusing on women’s performance and streetwear inspired co-ordinates. Building on the Upstate community, we have big plans for UPSTATE SPORT.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and strategic Digital Marketing Manager who is passionate about building the UPSTATE SPORT brand through digital and social channels.

Reporting directly to the CEO and as a member of the leadership team, you will oversee the digital marketing and online trade efforts for UPSTATE SPORT. Your primary focus will be to deliver our brand growth targets through digital marketing strategies that expand our brand reach, increase our customer engagement and drive profitable sales. In this dynamic digital startup environment, you will manage a small team, allowing you to play a key role in shaping strategic direction while staying hands-on in execution. You will be empowered to drive the brand, heavily involved in overall strategy and business build.

For this role, we are looking for a Digital Marketer who is strategic and commercially minded, with a strong ability to understand data to support the development of the brands growth strategy and drive trade decisions. This role requires you to have strong experience in scaling and optimising paid social platforms, SEO, SEM, email marketing and customer loyalty programs. In this pivotal leadership role, you’ll collaborate with a talented content creation team to create digital marketing campaigns that are both on-brand and engage with our customers.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

•    Demonstrated experience in Digital Marketing Leadership role (brand side experience is preferred but not essential)
•    Strong experience in developing and executing Social Media content strategies, including optimising and scaling Paid Social Accounts (Meta, Tiktok) 
•    Experience using content management systems and email marketing platforms 
•    Experience in SEO/SEM and website optimisation
•    Understanding of technology underpinning platforms, particularly Shopify 
•    Exposure to the ‘Ecommerce Equation Program’ or a digital pure play / start up would be highly desirable
•    Affiliates experience desirable
•    Proven ability in financial modelling is highly regarded
•    Experience in leading a team and building collaborative working relationships
•    Able to plan, organise, schedule and project manage in an efficient way
•    The ability to engage and influence senior business leaders and key stakeholders
•    Proven high level of commercial negotiation skills 
•    Proven communication skills with the ability to drive and influence change through best practice and delivering results
•    Demonstrable analytical problem solving and research skills, to identify and implement creative, innovative and flexible solutions 
•    Strong budgeting and forecasting skills
