Digital Marketing Coordinator – Immediate Start – Temp with potential to go Perm

Are you a hands-on digital storyteller who can jump in quickly, manage multiple priorities and create engaging content with purpose?

We are supporting AbSec, the peak Aboriginal organisation in the NSW child and family welfare sector, providing an Aboriginal perspective on child protection and out-of-home care policy while supporting Aboriginal community-controlled organisations across the state.

The team are looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Coordinator to join their collaborative and passionate team on a temporary and immediate basis. We need someone who can hit the ground running and bring creativity, initiative and strong digital capability from day one.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Communications and Memberships team, you’ll lead the day-to-day delivery of digital content and social media activity across multiple platforms.

This is a broad and varied role suited to someone who enjoys both creative content creation and digital coordination.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Managing and scheduling social media content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other platforms
• Designing engaging digital assets using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
• Writing compelling social media copy, blogs and digital content
• Supporting digital campaigns and online engagement activities
• Creating basic animations, reels and visual storytelling content
• Assisting with website updates and email communications
• Monitoring analytics and engagement performance
• Working collaboratively across teams to bring campaigns and stories to life

Large-scale graphic design work will be outsourced externally, so this role is best suited to someone comfortable with day-to-day digital design and content execution rather than highly technical graphic design projects.

About You

You are creative, adaptable and culturally aware, with experience working across digital marketing, communications or social media roles.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Experience in digital marketing, communications or social media coordination
• Strong Canva skills and confidence creating digital assets
• Excellent copywriting and content creation skills

Exposure to not-for-profit, community services, Aboriginal organisations or culturally sensitive environments will be highly regarded

• Exposure to Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro or similar tools
• Experience managing social media platforms professionally
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
• A collaborative approach and strong communication skills

• Hybrid working arrangement – 3 days per week in the Redfern office (close to public transport)
• NSW Working With Children Check and Police Check required
