What You’ll Do

Own the Platform & Development Roadmap:

You’ll take ownership of our Shopify Plus platform globally, acting as the key liaison between internal teams, Shopify, and development partners. From defining the development roadmap to scoping enhancements and overseeing delivery, you’ll ensure platform improvements directly support growth, scalability, and customer experience. Set and evolve the long-term vision for 2XU’s eCommerce platform, ensuring the roadmap balances short-term trading needs with long-term scalability, customer experience, and brand differentiation.

Lead Technical Delivery:

As the first point of escalation for eCommerce technical issues, you’ll troubleshoot, resolve, and document platform challenges across regions. You’ll manage integrations across core systems – including Shopify Plus, AP21, Klaviyo, payment gateways, logistics platforms, and third-party apps – ensuring stability, speed, and performance.

Lead UX Optimisation & Testing:

You’ll define and prioritise UX hypotheses based on customer behaviour, analytics, and qualitative insights. Through structured A/B testing, usability testing, and heatmapping tools, you’ll continuously refine navigation, PDPs, PLPs, checkout, and mobile experiences to remove friction and drive conversion.

Design-to-Development Collaboration:

You’ll act as the bridge between design and development – ensuring UX designs are technically feasible, scalable across regions, and executed to a high standard. You’ll review wireframes, prototypes, and final builds to ensure consistency, accessibility, and performance best practices are met.

Champion Accessibility & Best Practice:

You’ll ensure the platform adheres to modern UX and accessibility standards, supporting inclusive design and improving usability for all customers globally.

Drive Operational Excellence:

You’ll monitor onsite performance metrics such as conversion rate, AOV, and checkout performance, recommending and implementing technical improvements. Through CRO initiatives, A/B testing, UX enhancements, and strong analytics foundations, you’ll help continuously improve how customers experience 2XU online.

Enable Global Teams:

Working closely with digital, marketing, merchandising, logistics, and regional teams, you’ll ensure site developments are scalable, locally relevant, and delivered flawlessly. You’ll establish clear workflows, governance, and documentation, while providing technical guidance and training to global teams.

Manage Vendors & Stakeholders:

You’ll oversee external technology partners, agencies, and app providers – managing scope, delivery timelines, and performance. You’ll also support platform procurement, licensing, renewals, and cross-functional system integrations with Finance, IT, and Logistics.

Report on Performance & Impact:

You’ll track and report on technical KPIs including site uptime, speed, bug resolution, and platform ROI – translating insights into clear updates for senior leadership and ensuring every enhancement delivers measurable value.

What You’ll Bring

You’re a technically strong eCommerce operator who enjoys ownership and accountability. You bring:

  • 8+ years’ experience in eCommerce operations, platform ownership, or technical product management
  • Proven Shopify Plus experience at scale, including apps, integrations, and APIs
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce architecture across front-end, back-end, and integrations
  • Experience working with CRM/CDP platforms (e.g. Klaviyo), OMS/ERP systems (e.g. AP21), and digital marketing tools
  • Strong UX sensibility with experience translating customer behaviour and insights into practical onsite improvements
  • Experience working closely with designers on wireframes, prototypes, and UX flows (Figma or similar)
  • A track record of delivering development roadmaps that improve CVR, AOV, and customer experience
  • Strong analytical capability using GA4, GTM, and performance dashboards
  • Confidence managing multiple stakeholders across regions and time zones
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a hands-on approach
