SEO Manager - 12 month fixed term

  • You are an SEO expert with a passion for great digital experience and personalisation at scale.

  • Our team is committed to providing new digital experience for our audiences.

  • Through collaboration we can deliver the best customer experience across our digital platforms

  • Please note that this is an initial 12-month fixed term contract with possibility to extend

Do meaningful work

The SEO team is responsible for managing and optimizing digital experiences, streamlining end-to-end technology and processes, and delivering project investments for our digital assets (CommBank.com.au, NetBank, CommBank App). By integrating knowledge of search generative AI, we can enhance our capabilities to analyse vast amounts of data and predict customer behaviour, enabling us to create more personalized and timely interactions.

Focusing on collaboration and optimization skills enables us to deliver effective digital experiences tailored to our audience's needs. The team is also responsible for promoting digital adoption of our online banking platforms, features, and products, and ensuring our customers receive timely, personalised messages within these channels in collaboration with the supporting teams and stakeholders.

You will be working collaboratively with wider project teams composed of media planners and managers, digital journey optimization managers (DJOMs), content publishers, capability and analytics experts, risk and marketing managers, product owners, and content creators. We all share the goal of driving growth and success for our business and achieving our NPS target.

See yourself in the team

As an SEO (Owned Media) Manager, you will leverage your expertise to identify opportunities for improving organic performance, address process inefficiencies, enhance customer experience, and develop solutions to increase visibility and conversions for the business.

We seek an analytical and perceptive professional who is an effective communicator and capable of collaborating with various teams. Current knowledge of SEO practices and techniques, including the evolving AI landscape, is vital for this role.

You will oversee the daily execution of technical, content, and user journey optimisations. You will ensure that your recommendations are implemented in a timely manner. Additionally, you will analyse data to enhance web experience visibility and support real-time behavioural targeting and personalisation initiatives undertaken by various teams within CommBank, NetBank, and the CommBank App. Your contributions will be integral to delivering strategies for existing and new features and products.

On any given week you will

  • Develop a vision for integrating our owned assets with other digital channels to guide audiences through a nurture journey.

  • Involve key stakeholders and secure agreement on that vision.

  • Collaborate with a team of online content producers, publishers, product owners, paid & social marketing teams, analytics experts, and DJOMs to implement the vision, ensuring overall web experience optimization and site integrity.

  • Prioritise and manage website projects and initiatives, including content marketing strategy, supporting other marketing campaigns on the website, identifying CRO opportunities, on-page, and content or tech optimisations. This involves working closely with various teams to ensure alignment with best practices and successful implementation.

  • Address the role of AI in SEO, considering market fluctuations, competitor analysis, and tech-stack deployments. By consistently monitoring site performance data and anticipating changes in search behavior, particularly due to SGE, resolve issues promptly to maintain optimal performance.

  • Monitor site performance data and proactively suggest optimizations or address potential issues.
